19th March 2006 Mt. Biking: Thetford Forest Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 9 c Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy, sunny spells Max Speed: 25 mph (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 30mph (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Been thinking about going to Thetford for a while so woke up this morning and decided to give it a go Had a really enjoyable ride 30 miles and the only bit of tarmac was crossing the road all single track and fireroads. I went in at the deep end and went round the black trail had one little fall when I caught a stump with a pedal on a corner nothing too serious. I wasn't expecting any down hills but found a couple of small ones which I got plenty of speed on and a couple of very hairy moments, some of the bomb holes were interesting too didn't go too mad though as I was on my own(no one to pick up the broken bits) Good day will do it again soon Better add to that I was riding with just a long sleeved tshirt today so things may be getting warmer |
